With the upcoming Remanufacturer of the Year award 2018, we are asking previous winners what to expect and what it takes to win this prestigious award. This week: the story of Søren Toft-Jensen.
The former electrician subsequently began at Henley Management College MBA in collaboration with Houston University. A good decision, indeed. Since his return to his home country of Denmark, Toft-Jensen has repurchased his previous shareholding and has established himself as a leading European entrepreneur and specialist in the field of automotive remanufacturing.
Starting out with a one-man electrical shop on the small island of Langeland, Soren Toft-Jensen has turned his start-up, originally named Elstock, into Europe’s largest privately-owned remanufacturing company, Borg Automotive.
For these achievements, and for several others, 67 year-old Soren Toft-Jensen received ReMaTecNews’ Remanufacturer of the Year Award for 2015 at a ceremony in Amsterdam. “Through constant commitment to quality and a clear vision, Soren Toft-Jensen has built a world-class company, which has contributed significantly to the reputation of automotive remanufacturing and serves as inspiration for remanufacturers across Europe,” stated by a former ReMaTec jury member.
