On 12 April the Remanufacturer of the year Award is introducing it’s ‘renewed’ form. As the reman sector is growing, so is the award. All in all even more recognition for companies and individuals to enter the competition and claim industry leadership.
The remanufacturing sector is gaining more awareness and recognition every year. For that reason ReMaTecNews has broadened the award. ‘It is aimed to make it attractive for everyone to participate in this award’, says Niels Klarenbeek, Director Remanufacturing and Refurbisment. ‘Over its life time the award has celebrated the achievements of some of reman industry’s preeminent names. Within the industry it is considered a major accolade’, Klarenbeek continues. ‘At a time when green issues, conservation of resources, recycling and environmental responsibility are at the forefront of public concerns, the award is intended to highlight the huge commercial and environmental benefits of remanufacturing. That is the reason that we have renewed our award and jury panel.’

This year jury select from entries in the following categories:
Best reman process optimisation
In this technical category entries zoom into remanufacturing processes e.g. innovative cleaning technologies, state of the art end-of-life testing, high end core sorting procedures.
Best reman business innovation
In this category entries are about disruptive business models towards remanufacturing. The winner of this category should be an inspiration to other remanufacturers. E.g. independent remanufacturers who managed to work with OE’s, remanufacturing as a service, etc.
Best reman ambassador
In this category entries honour an organisation or individual that has significantly contributed to the awareness and/or acceptance of remanufactured products.
