Remy International has announced the completion of Maval Manufacturing Inc. of Twinsburg, Ohio, the manufacturer, remanufacturer and distributor of steering systems, components and speciality products to the automotive and speciality vehicles market.

According to Remy, Maval Manufacturing was the first independent remanufacturer to achieve a QS 9000 ranking for its steering products. The company is a global leader in off-road and classic car steering systems. According to Pittas, Maval's quality, management talent and market position made the company attractive to Remy. Maval will retain its brand identities for the company's core products as well as its Unisteer and Wicked Bilt lines.
