With the addition of the Production Engine Remanufacturers Association (PERA) to the Remanufacturing Association Alliance (RAA), it brings the total number of participating associations to seven.
The Remanufacturing Association Alliance is a collaboration of remanufacturing associations that foster the dissemination of remanufacturing news, best practices, and information relevant to the entire industry by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Remanufacturing Industries Counsel (RIC). This unprecedented, synergetic alliance was created in February 2017 and provides a framework for cooperation and support of strategic initiatives for advancing industry objectives in all sectors.
“We are very pleased to have PERA participating in the RAA. Their unique perspective on the engine remanufacturing industry is a welcomed and valuable addition to the group,” said Vaughn Henson, Chairman, Remanufacturing Industries Council and Director of Business Development, SRC Holdings Corp.
The Production Engine Remanufacturers Association is an association of individuals and firms who are remanufacturing internal combustion engines and their major components or are supplying necessary components, supplies, and equipment required in the remanufacturing process. PERA provides its members with the opportunity to exchange the ideas, methods, and procedures required to efficiently produce remanufactured products that are equal or superior to original products in quality and performance.
“I am really pleased that our Board of Directors has endorsed PERA’s participation in the Remanufacturing Association Alliance (RAA) to help advance the voice of remanufacturing to the American public. Our interests are tied closely to the success of the entire remanufacturing industry regardless of the product produced. It is important that our message is heard by all. I look forward to working with the RAA to insure this happens,” remarked Joe Polich, Executive Vice President, PERA.
The RAA provides a voice in the marketplace on important reman topics like tariffs and regulations, as well as helps to broaden the awareness about remanufacturing to the general public. Recent initiatives include annual global Reman Day and a proposal to the Census Bureau to update the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) to include remanufacturing.
The RAA collaboration includes the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA), Association of Medical Device Reprocessors (AMDR), Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA), Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA), International Imaging Technology Council (I-ITC), Production Engine Remanufacturers Association (PERA), Professional Electrical Apparatus Reconditioning League (PEARL), and the Remanufacturing Industries Council (RIC).
