With a new and fresh design APRA Europe has launched their new website and mid June Oto Pavlik is presenting an Expert Webinar on Automated Optical Core Identification of Brake Calipers.
“In recent weeks, you may have noticed that our website was not available. This was due to a software change of APRA. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused and do hope that you will actively use and also like our new web presence. From now, APRA Europe has its own website with all relevant and updated information. While the website is already online, we are still improving contents and optimizing features for better usability.” states APRA Europe on their Linkedin. They also add, “Accordingly, our contact email changes to info@apraeurope.org.”
In their Expert webinar series, APRA Europe hosts the next webinar on 16 June at 17:00 – 17:45 CET. Oto Pavlik, Senior Manager Operations Frydlant (BAOF), Remanufacturing Group, BU Manufacturing, ZF Aftermarket, ZF Group presents the topic: ‘Automated Optical Core Identification of Brake Calipers’. This sessions intro reads, ‘Training operators for sorting operations is one of our the longest activities, and choosing an operator suitable for sorting is also not easy. That was the reason why we started to find out what the possibilities are to automate this operation. We chose Optical Core Identification by convolutional neural networks due to the wide range of uses in the future. The future is not only for sorting brakes, but also for any other possible sorting by shapes & edges or automated visual quality control.’
