PE Automotive and tool specialist HAZET say that their new impact wrench will make it easier to change a brake cylinder, a hard-to-access component which usually requires the whole wheel to be removed. The shape of the new tool has been adapted to suit narrow spaces - otherwise, using a torque wrench “would be practically impossible with the wheel still mounted”, the companies say. Now mechanics can get access to remove the two fixing nuts on the majority of current commercial vehicle and trailer models – and subsequently re-install them with the correct torque. The wheel can remain mounted throughout the entire brake cylinder repair process, which means repair is considerably faster, the companies say.
